However, convert that to a HFE v3 using the HxC software, and it might work.

PC drives run off of either 5v, or 12v. It depends on the drive manufacturer, not on if it's an Amiga or PC...

You program it with the GW firmware, attach it to the disk drive, and use the gw.exe to write the image....
