2MB is the maximum amount of chip on any production Amiga. It is worth getting 2MB if you intend to use the OS, but 1MB will get you started and will be enough if you intend to mainly play games.

The OSSC's resync time combined with the monitor's even longer resync is its biggest drawback in Amiga use. I love the 1:1 pixel mapping though.

Should fix what needs to be fixed. There are some other OCS <-> ECS incompatibilities, but as far as I remember, games rarely suffer from those, it's more of a problem with ancient demos/intros.
