Man, this looks and sounds very similar to the Odyssey demo by Alcatraz - I wonder which came first.. I was at The Party in Aars when Odyssey was released, that was an odyssey ;) of a demo compo.

Yes, it will sit at $80000 and gets detected by exec just like in an A500+ (it is just the memory normally sitting at $C00000 being remapped to $80000 for the cpu).

The thing you did on the CPC was reversing the direction of EITHER the source or destination pointer. When you set the blitter to DESC mode, you reverse the direction of both/all pointers ;)
