I'm not sure it is? You've got Windows & WinUAE performing a level of translation between USB the emulated Amiga.

The HDToolbox mask is IIRC 1-bit for every bit of a 32-bit memory space. So by setting only 24-bits you're guaranteeing that the OS filesystem will never make DMA buffers outside of Chip/Motherboard...
