Watching 060 demos is the main thing for me, but...

Watching 060 demos is the main thing for me, but when using an Amiga, i want it to feel as fast as it can be, especially when multitasking.. unpacking larger archives, streaming modules etc.

My main Amiga is an A1200 with 060 (Blizzard), then there is a few A4000Ds with 060s (Cyberstorm MK2).

I also have a lot of Amigas that do not see too much use, like my Escom A4000T with 060/PPC...

Not using it anymore, but i do remember it fondly. I spoke to one of the Thule guys some years back, when he was working on the Opera web browser.


I think he said he still had his Amiga etc......

Defective A1000 keyboard cpu

Hey,

My A1000 keyboard has a 6500 keyboard cpu, that has died. Is it is possible to use one of the newer versions, like the 6570, as a direct replacement?

Sad to say, but the demo will not work on an A1000. We did not get to test on my A1000 until late in the development of the production and it is not likely to get fixed at this point.

There is also a Rev7 (I have one of them) but I am not sure what the differences are and they are quite rare. I got this one from the UK though, so it was sold there at least.
