Settlers had a nice idea: Some functions were 'hidden' behind clicks with both mousebuttons. I'm pretty sure a lot of people couldn't play properly because of that.

On the GP Software site is not a single hint to H&P anymore. Maybe they really closed the doors....

As far as i know Amikit uses Winlaunch to start those programs, that won't work on linux. But you can install Amikit with Lutris or PlayOnLinux to start programs on the host.

Pimiga is 'just' emulation but on slower/limited hardware. Problem is it still feels like emulation so i rather do that on my computer instead, it gives me more options, more speed etc.

For me it wasn't on the Amiga. I never had a windows machine < 98me, but at some point i got my hands on a Nintendo64. Only knowing Amiga and snes games Mario64 and Mariokart really blew me away....
