There is a cd32 library for Blitz (think it's installed with the ultimate Blitz CD) which handles playing of audio tracks. Not sure if it works on CDTV though.

Could you save the palette of the first picture and then after loading each subsequent pic load the 1st palette and use the remap option? Would that work.

I've tend to keep all frames on one pic

You can force it by holding both mouse buttons on startup and selecting original or enhanced under display options. Dpaint and Ppaint will use the 4096 colours then.

Ah yes the effect wouldn't work then. I was thinking 4 bitplanes for the background then a fifth for the game. The game would still be 1 bitplane then but be on a 5 bitplane screen.
