I don't think ferrite will fix it, but you could try and see. The problem here is lack of proper HF filters. It should never have been sold this way.

Exactly- plug it into the Amiga and then measure there with it turned on.

The voltage is spiked a little to get through the 6' cable and connectors, and then there is the drop from the actual load.
