I think you hit the nail on the head. I do have to agree about the story being pretty weak, compared to ME1 anyway. I liked it because I thought the combat was a great improvement.

Dead Space 1 was pretty awesome. Dead Space 2 is better, I think last year most of the sequels sucked, fable, two worlds 2 etc.
