You could also run AmigaOS 4.1 for the SAM under qemu, not sure if it is faster than WinUAE but the best thing to do using MorphOS on a cheap Mac.

Tools to use, how to find the culprit using stack traces etc. Something like Grim reaper would be nice with a way to disassemble the program...

I find quite tedious to have an identical file after having resourced a medium sized program. (15k lines for example)
