Dunno if it's any good in an A3000 or A4000 because the A3000 already has a 68030 @25mhz as standard and the A4000/030 already has this board.

Not to mention the 68040 A4ks...

mmm...that card is better to put in an A3000 (A3640@25mhz)

AMIGAZ : think you mean A3630 ?! Anyway, the auction is about a A3630 but not at 40 Mhz but only at 25 Mhz. It is the standard card for an A4000 and A3000, with no memory on it. If you want to add memory then you need a FastLane scsi controller with 30pins Simms and if you´re lucky then this reaches 90% of the speed of the memory on the motherboard ...

Lol...just wrote this earlier in this thread...first reply
The A3630 was never mounted as standard in an A3000, it had the 68030 directly on the motherboard.
The A4000/040 had the A3640 card mounted in the CPU slot and some A4000/030 had these A3630 cards while the rest had the 68030 directly mounted on the motherboard like my A4000 have.

Didn´t know some A4000´s had the 68030 on the motherboard ?! Thanks Amigaz, I have learned again another thing :)

Or a DKB3128 like mine ;)

Effy 25 March 2005 21:43

The one for the A3640 ? Got one myself but haven´t tried it yet :( Typical one of my future plans that don´t get out of the closet :(

alexh 26 March 2005 00:25

The DKB3128 is a ZIII RAM board.

Sorry, I mixed it with the Excalibur :)
