Amos

Having recently resurrected my 1200 I found a game a friend and I were working on in 1991 on the hard drive called Starworf.

This is the opening sequence which was created in Amos with the Amos 3D add on.

Brought back a lot of happy memories :)

Nice work - I'd like to have seen the game!

Wow memories indeed! I haven't seen that AMOS screen in a long time! Great work on animation sequence!

My brother created a Pokemon game. I wish I had stored it somewhere.

Thanks.

I have the game as well but the idea was you connected two amigas up via serial cable and played against each other. So on its own its just the one spaceship zooming about. We got as far as getting the Amigas connected and flying the space ships around but other than that the game was never completed but I remember the late nights in my early twenties staring at the code on my Sony portable TV.

I always wanted the AMOS 3D extension. Looks like it performs better than I'd have expected, if that's an unexpanded A1200.

Looks great. For a moment I thought you'd ripped the space background from Frontier. :D

Could have fooled me, it has enough production quality to it to look like a commercial title. Impressive stuff.

I did the coding my friend, who sadly is no longer with us, did the graphics.

To capture the game I had to fire it up in Win-UAE but I have it set up as a standard 1200 and it runs the same on the real one. The Amos 3D extention was pretty amazing at the time. We also made an interactive Star Trek bridge which we created 3D Klingon birds of prey in.

Blitz Basic also did 3D really well as well I recall.

Thanks for the great feed back. No one has ever seen it before now so good to hear. My 21 year old self would have been proud.

We might have been influenced by Frontier ;-)

Looks more professional than anything I ever managed in AMOS. Very good!

Looks great. AMOS 3D was pretty good for the time. I have been playing around with it recently. Brought back lots of memories trying to get two blocks to stick together in the right place.
