Same data disk ADF, different configurations
Hi, I am running FS UAE through the launcher V3.05u2 on UBUNTU 18.04 and I am having thi scenario.
I have two identical A600 configurations with workbench disk. With FS-UAE I create an empty ADF disk. I run the first configuration and I put some data in the empty disk. After closing I run the second configuration, but the disk appears to be empty yet. Then I close again and I run the first configuration and the disk has the data. If I create others configuraions the disk appear to be empty: it has data only in the configuration where I put data on it, but the adf file is the same. So, where are the datas? How can I create a disk with datas available for all configurations I have? Thanks. |
This is normal. FS-UAE creates things like snapshots of ADF files. So all changes are stored in these snapshots an let the ADF files as they are. You just use:
writable_floppy_images = 1 config option to be able to write all changes to the original ADF file. |
Hi, and thank you for the reply.
Unfortunately I tried but it doesn't work: I put the same configuration row in the two different configs, but the data keep to be differents. Any idea? |
Hi!

Use X-Copy or another disk copy tool in order to copy your old overlayed disk to a new one with writable_floppy_images = 1 enabled. |
