Description of game:
A monkey working at the "Amiga Beach Bar" needs to get the ingredients for mixing cuba libres for his customers. Those ingredients are splattered on some platforms protected by fearsome critters like crabs, snakes, birds, etc..

Currently creating my concept and some graphics..

I wasn't aware that there was already a single screen platformer in development (=> Pumpkin Bros, which already looks all kind of awesome), so I will suspend work on this one.

Doesn't mean I won't do a game for the contest, but I wanna come up with some other game idea for "Monkey Libre" then... ;)

Huh ? I personally find the direction of your design graphics original, you got your own style ant it includes palette you find and use.
And the style/design/artwork evolution of your vertical shoot'em up proves it.
You should continue, but of course I respect your decision. It's your work.

PS : I'm not trying to force your hand. As alrerady said, I respect your decision.

That's a real shame, Monkey Libre looked quite cool :agree

Obviously it's your decision, but just because there's another platformer in the competition, it doesn't mean you need to abandon this one.

Agreed, a game is a game and make it for the love (of the challenge)

If its a constant chore though then dont do it, but if u enjoy it then do.
