The Ultimate Tribute to Amiga Developers...

...or maybe the ultimate tribute to someones own purse?

http://www.amigaemulator.co.uk/

I'm all for sharing ADFs, but selling them to make a living, no money reaching any developer and calling it a tribute to developers goes a bit too far.
Probably also Kickstart included, and I doubt he has the license for anything.

£49 Ouch!

Fred the Fop 04 October 2006 07:46

What's with the stupid, shallow looking "hippie" borad and that peace sign? Is it a pathetic attempt to make the idiot purchasing this dig the retro scene? The reason why this site is up and he is making a bundle is because there are lazy or stupid people willing to pay.

guru64 04 October 2006 16:48

the site has a professional look. i think many people will believe this is all legal. He even tries hard to make the customers believe so "This full commercial release..."

So Cloanto = USA, This guy = Terrorrrrrist :)

They both use violence to attack our purses!

pbareges 04 October 2006 19:21

what makes you so sure it's not legal ? why the guy isn't suited if so ?

BTTR tried hard and never got license for Bitmap Bros & Psygnosis games. This guy made it :)

Codetapper 05 October 2006 01:01

Maybe the best thing to do against these guys is to put up a webpage somewhere saying "this compilation is illegal" etc, and list all the normal ones being sold (Amiga Classicz, WHDLoad gamez etc).

I am sure a few people would be quite happy to put a link to that page on their site thus making it more popular in google. Then someone searching will hopefully hit the "don't buy this crap!" page.

Alyria 05 October 2006 17:52

Well, in comparison to the Cloanto package, it has many more games, and this guy is not trying to shut anyone down, and isn't lining glwxxx's undeserving pockets. So if I was going to buy one of the two, which I'm not, my choice would be... not the Cloanto package... :-)
