Barbarian 2 (Psy) missing cheat mode information for HOL
 

Hi,

I am updating Barbarian 2 (psygnosis) whdload's slave.

I have found another infomations about cheat mode:
Hold down the:
‘HELP’, ‘M’, and ‘E’ keys to replenish your energy.
‘HELP’, ‘M’, and ‘E’ and 'K' keys to get 3 keys
‘HELP’, ‘M’, and ‘E’ and 'K' and 'F10' keys to go to the end sequence

Can you add it in HOL please?

Hmmm, I tried this with the .IPFs.

I can get the following to work:

‘HELP’, ‘M’, and ‘E’ keys to replenish your energy.

But not these two:

‘HELP’, ‘M’, and ‘E’ and 'K' keys to get 3 keys
‘HELP’, ‘M’, and ‘E’ and 'K' and 'F10' keys to go to the end sequence

I verify again, it's working on winuae with WHDLoad patch

Try on Winaue, it's working and code is present in game for that ;)

However, it may not work on all keyboards. for example on some a1200 keyboards.

Indeed, on some low-end hardware keyboard controllers you cannot press certain keys at the same time when the keys on the same logical line (ask to Jotd for more information about that)

if you looks code:
base key table is at $212

So you must by example pour see end sequence press in same time keys:
$5f+$37+$12+$27+$59

on QWERTY keyboard it's:
HELP+M+E+K+F10

remarks

it's same problem with original cheat mode of Z-out (keys K+J in same time)

• Here Jotd's note about that:
• Notes:
• - The J+K invincibility cheatmode has been replaced by J+I because the J+K key combination
• is not possible on the A1200 keyboard (cheap hardware, 2 keys on the same line
• cannot be pressed at the same time...)
  

it's confirmed cheat mode works but not with all keyboard like Z-out

can be it added on HOL please?
