Looking for Protracker
Greetings all, I'm not too sure where this belongs but I'm looking for a physical copy of Protracker. Any version is fine and I'd be happy to pay postage etc. A few sample disks would be handy too as I have no way of sampling directly to my 500 right now. I'm fond of using original hardware which is why I'd prefer not to emulate it, any help will be greatly appreciated. Cheers :)

Check The Zone. There's still:
Protracker Collection.zip - 41 differents versions of Protracker (in separate ADFs) |
How do I go about transferring the ADFs from my PC to the Amiga?
|
Easiest ways would be using the ACA500+ or an A600 and an CF Card at the Pcmcia slot. (Some years ago I bought an A600 with this being also a main reason). When you've got the adf on the Amiga, writing it to floppy is no problem, there are many freeware tools for that.
Or you buy a Gotek-adapter and can directly use adf's as if it were disks. Or you know somebody that writes them for you and sends it to you per mail. ;) |
Yeah I'd prefer to either create the floppy myself or just buy them from someone through the post. Can you take the files from the Gotek and transfer them to floppy?

Yes, you just need an ADF to Disk program like adfblitzer: https://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/adfblitzer or adf2disk11: https://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/adf2disk11 and maybe do this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKf9DqeFRYs |
