Adidas Championship Football

Hope this has not been discussed before...
Adidas Championship Football was tested in issue 9 or 10/1990 of Amiga Joker, but there was no single screenshot shown.
I've also seen an ad for that game saying it exists for Amiga, but this is no proof either.
Perhaps somebody has further information regarding this title.

the wolf 27 May 2002 14:38

Yep, I see otherwise some screenshots on an italian magazine, but never a review.
In that days some shops published this title on their games stock, but I never see the boxes on a real computer shop.
Cody, give us the light!
:)

Twistin'Ghost 27 May 2002 21:48

It doesn't exist, unfortunately. I don't believe there is even so much as a demo for this casualty. Sorry.

jmmijo 27 May 2002 22:05

So has anyone or any web site, compiled a list of these dead titles? Perhaps this would be more work then finding actual releases but I was just wondering ;)

Twistin'Ghost 27 May 2002 22:27

We're planning on including this info in the HOL database.

jmmijo 27 May 2002 22:30

Ah, I see the light now :laugh

the wolf 28 May 2002 13:18

Me too. ;)
I started a thread some days ago about all these "dead" (or, better to say, "never born") titles...
It's a great idea to put informations on HOL, but it would be even better if someone decides to make a web page with some lost playable/rolling preview....

Found this (very old) thread before I was going to do a new post. Agree, looks like it does not exist and Amiga Power ran an article about games that have not seen the light of day (under HOL as a preview article)

However in that article (which appears to show a pic of Fighting Soccer!) it states it was released in France. Wonder if this was true? I would have thought it would have seen the light of day by now. The game was reviewed but many un-released games were I suppose.

I know a guy who has the game boxed from Ocean. I have seen photos as proof, the game uses a copylock btw.

There you go ! :D

When i was young, i searched for this Amiga title for rip music. Possible done by Mathew Cannon (Jonathan Dunn soundformat). Seems to be veeeery rare.

Fiery Phoenix 29 October 2021 09:12

Wow - did not expect that reply!

So it does appear it was released in France then, so AP were correct, or at least released very limited, maybe mail order?

Would love to see it running, pity no dump around of this game.

Live in hope!

Then perhaps it must/can be personal copy for Mathew Cannon. If this is Ocean France game like Toki, then who coded this title? No Pierre Adane and Jean Charles Meyrignac.

It was programmed by a UK team for the Amiga.

This was posted 2 weeks ago - watch from 20:58 onwards. maybe the UK guy that dlfrsilver mentions above?

He states he has preserved it but guessing not been released to the public, probably is rubbish (says so himself) but always wanted a play of this

How has this not leaked?

Some comments are interesting. f.e this:

"Jurassic Park CD32 was developed but never released. Think i might even have a backup of it somewhere."

I and Codetapper asked the guy for a disk image, and nothing is done yet.
