I'm going crazy, what's up with this double screen..

Briefly:

From HD workbench, I put in some application floppy. For example, blitz Basic 2. Start the app, and the screen becomes totally distorted. 2 flickering screens in one flashing black. See attached images 1, 2

When I instead start from the disk, not booting thru HD I first enter the disks intuition workbench, open disk drawer and start blitz that way.. perfect image.. see attached 3

The same happens with Alot of my applications..

Does anyone have an idea of what's going on?

Can't start any of these apps from wb..

Scribble, database programs.. all the same.

What files are in your hard drive devs/monitors drawer?

Go to Prefs and open IControl. (Un-)check "Mode Promotion" and see if that help.
