Felix "Dont you want me"

Surprising video came up on TV today and I thought... DAMN that's so much like Spaceballs State-of-the Art.

Both released in 1992.

It HAS to have been the inspiration do you not think?

TCD 04 October 2008 18:05

Would be very interesting to know which came first. I guess the Felix music video, but does anyone know? It's quite sure that one was inspired by the other.

bLAZER 05 October 2008 00:02

Kick ass song.... I have no idea... but I would guess Spaceballs was inspired...

girv 06 October 2008 11:43

Discogs give the Felix track a release date of 27th August 1992, I'd guess it was out in mainland Europe before it hit the UK.

Not just the video, but the music as well :)

Well according to Wikipedia the single was released in 1992, so maybe it was the other way around ;)

alexh 09 October 2008 22:28

Anyone ever tried to watch the bit between 2:22 and 2:42 with 3D glasses?

Not the cd mate. I have a VHS video with some music vids on it.
Will upload a pic today.
I have also a vid called DR. DEVIOUS & THE TEMPLE OF DOOM, with commodore credit in the end part.
I think the X-MIX series was made with some amigas too ?

girv 10 October 2008 14:10

Yep I got it about the VHS, I meant I would check the CD too, just in case :)

TCD 10 October 2008 14:54

Okay, let's say it was inspired by the dance music and videos of 1991 ;) Nice find btw Kada :)

Amiga1992 11 October 2008 13:54

Yah that demo was definitely inspired by this.
It was the typical videoclip of the 80s ;D

Oh shit, now I want to remix this song ;D
