My Monitor screen darkens after a while in WinUAE 4.1.0
Hi,
I'm using the 4.1.0 version of WinUAE for 3 years now on my Win7 computer. I dont't know exactly, when this strange 'dimming' of the screen occured first. I still use a Win7-installation from 2009 on a refurbished Lenovo Thinkcentre M58p, A-ware. :) Back that time I installed an ATI Radeon 7700 graphics device. This setup works very well for me. I wonder why every other application I use don't dim down the display. Only WinUAE has this problem since ... uhhmmm... maybe a year? But it's a 2018 install. And I'm using the same config-files. I did not change anything since 2018. Maybe it's some 'Windows Update stuff`? The problem is new. Any suggestions are welcomed. :) Cheers, Rick |
Not enough information. Only in fullscreen mode? Does the dim image also appear in screenshots? Same in both D3D9 and 11 modes?
Perhaps some stupid screensaver that misses any rawinput input events and thinks it is time to enable it. |
Hi Toni,
sorry for my late answer. This strange dimming appears in Vampire's Empire. Is this a built-in feature of the original game? As far as I remember It did not happened on my A500, A600HD and A2000. I purchased my A500 back in late 1987 and it's still working. I played Vampire's Empire a lot in the late 80ies/early 90ies on a TV screen. Late 1990ies I bought a Shareware-CD where I found UAE. From then on my real Amigas went to the attic. Thank you for your great work on WinUAE! :-) Cheers, Rick |
Easy test: reset emulated Amiga. If colors return: it is game feature.
