ECS and OCS
I've wondered for a long time... in what way is the ECS actually 'enhanced' relative to the OCS?
Were there any games which took advantage of this improvement (i.e. would run on an A500+ or A600, but not a 1MB A500)? |

Wasn't there some which required 1MB Chip so not running on 0.5+0.5 MB A500?

The Red Sector GGS Cractro - The logo was RED on A500 but changed colours on A500+ was this to do with ECS.

How about Perihelion ( Paradox crack) ..?

But games that supported ECS (64 colours) would be games that did not need rapid screen updates because of the standard 68k cpu so non arcade games i.e Black Crypt Just saw the EHB is not an ECS mode, just some A1000 does not support it. |

What's 11 years on a site which honors computer systems that are easily 30-40 years old :)

Hare Raising Havoc needed 1MB chipram on the Amiga 500 if I remember correctly?
But other from that, it was OCS and kick 1.3, but needed to be installed on a harddisk. |

Oops.. not sure what happened there but somehow I screwed up the QTX intro that had been used many times before and added something that broke it for older kickstart 1.x :confused |
Rise of the Robots (:P) ECS version requires 1MB chip and on the packaging it specifically says Amiga 500+/600/1500/2000/3000. The floppy disks are labeled for "Amiga 600".
