Need for speed!

Pondering this for a while now...

Which Classic/Native (read; 68000 era) Amiga game benefits most from a faster CPU?

When I first got a faster Amiga, I fully expected flight sims and Vector based games to be noticeably smoother... Sadly I struggle to see the improvements???

Later native Amiga games were written to utilise faster CPUs - Breathless and Gloom etc clearly benefit from 040 060 etc.

A common misconception :) Although your CPU is now much faster, Blitter speed and chipram contention haven't changed. So although there is an improvement (as your vector calculations etc are quicker) the rendering speed hasn't really improved.

Any CPU heavy game that does a lot of calculations - like 'The Settlers' - that can run code from fastram/cache will be much improved. And any game using 'chunky' graphics (like most first person shooters) should have a big speedup too.

hmm as I thought...

The best flight sim experience I have had on my Amiga is A10 running through Fusion MAC emulator... It is silky smoooth and crystal clear LOL
