Is it real or a homebrew version?

I had an argument with a friend a while ago about this. I believe that it is not a real version of the game but rather a game made by the fans. If I remember well, there's no company logo in the game either. I am sure that the C.A.P.S. guys can verify that there are no submisions of this.

Somehow I doubt that anyone would be troubled enough to create Renegade 3.
Possibly a canned project leaked.
So far nobody has submitted a dump of it, but that does not mean too much.

homebrew. Grabed it from Aminet some years ago.

The spectrum version had a countdown timer displayed on screen as you played the game, but the Amiga version doesn't seem to have one (judging by the screen shots anyway). I wouldn't have thought that they would of removed the timer when programing the Amiga version.

It's similar to the other versions but it looks like a homebrew.
