Hi =) + Possible Contributions
Hey, all! I've just arrived, and I hope to enjoy being a part of the community.
Being only seventeen, I'm quite a young Amiga fan, but I still have my father's first Amiga 1000, and I used to play it nonstop when I was around six and seven years old. Since then, most of my disks have become corrupt and unreadable, though a few remain. If I happen to find some disks that are unavailable online (and I do believe I have a few), I was wondering where and how I would go about contributing to the community. (I already know how to transfer to PC as an ADF.) So anyway, see you around! |
Hi Haxxy and welcome to EAB :)
Cool to see the next gen joining us recently :great I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay in the madhouse :D |
Greetings Haxxy
i think the best thing you can do to contribute any uncharted ADFs you may have, is just to post them on this board... i'm sure someone will be able to tell you if they need adding to the TOSEC collections or anything. |
Welcome to EAB :great I'm sure you'll have load's of fun here ;)

@Graham Oh oh, guess I should cancel the trip to Mauritius then :nervous :D |
Looks like a good option, though since most of my floppies are corrupted, I wouldn't have the entire disk intact if I manage to salvage the game off of it. For example, I have many DevWare disks which contain multiple games, so if I were to recover a single game from the disk and create an ADF out of it, then it wouldn't show up in that database, right?

No, ADFs created this way would not be found. However if the game is 'one-filed' (all data in the executable) there is also a DAT in TOSEC for that. Like Horace said, if you think you have something 'new' just let us know and there's surely a way to check that :)
