Looking for name of space combat game
 

I remember a game from around 1990 and had only one disk. It all took place in space. Not on any planet surface or in any space station. It was 3D with polygon based objects and spacecraft. A large variety of spacecraft were selectable. Bombers, fighters, minelayers, suicide craft, etc.

Not 3D as such, but the zooming in and out might cause that memory? - good old Bratwurst?

the only game i remember you can select various type of space ship is Frontier

How about Warhead?

I loved Warhead but you could only fly the FOE...
