There is no process actually :) I prefer people downloading on official site. Plus there's a download counter there.
That one didn't need much work. Nothing to fix, just memory & kickstart to set up. Superb intro btw. |
Thanks for your great work!! Btw the link: http://whdload.de/games/BlackDawnRebirth.html

It works very well. One bug I found though is that on exit back to the workbench the display stays as NTSC even though WB prefs says PAL. I have to reboot to get it back.
|
probably some rogue write to beamcon register (and also whdload not restoring pal properly). Fixable.
|
Yes indeed. Turbo Sprint had the same issue initially which was quickly resolved by Stingray. :great

If you back up the copper list, and the Active view and then restore them afterwards does this not work?? Or do you have to call RethinkDisplay() |

WHDLoad can't restore the display settings properly if the BEAMCON0 register has been changed. Any write to BEAMCON0 needs to be disabled/emulated in the slave code. |

Ok so the BEAMCON0 is not in the system copperlist, so when the system copperlist gets reinstalled it still uses the BEAMCON0 from the game, got it. Is this the same type of bug with the mouse pointer when you exit from a demo when using a 31khz screen mode and it displays a different size mouse pointer? |
looks very much like it yes. Not the same register though. It's more related to sprite resolution control register
some custom registers are in copperlists, some aren't. Depends on the copperlist. I recently read that writing to registers during copperlists steals cycles to the blitter so better write only the ones that you need... |
