Printing a Amos Basic file in Windows 10
I am using an Amiga emulator and do not have printer capabilities. I am just starting to learn AMOS basic.
I would like to print AMOS basic files i.e., (example.amos) using Windows 10. I opened an AMOS file using Notebook but that does not provide a program listing to print. Is there any printer program out there that will allow me to print AMOS basic listings? Any other alternatives? Thanks |
one way would be to open the file in Amos and save it as Ascii

Welcome Usil,
in Win 10 i'm using a third-party pdf printer. i had configured WinUAE to use that a printing device with "ascii only" enabled. had no luck with built-in ms pdf printer. On amiga side i use "generic" as printer driver. From AmosPro it is possible to directly print out a listing as pdf. But i have to switch between WinUAE and desktop multiple times to get the file requester in win to store the pdf. EasyAmos lacks printing option. don't know version of yours, so problems may arise. EasyAmos can't save as ascii, AmosPro can save a marked block as ascii. An Amos file is a container which stores compressed listing, including amos banks and everything for your project. As you figured already they can't be used directly outside amos. good luck |

I used this to extract the source as plaintext from my old amos programs:
