Can I disable Nedopc A600 8MB fastram ?

The problem is that as it is (8MB) the PCMCIA slot does not work unless I remove the ram expansion which is not practical at all.

I was wondering if there is a way I can disable it through software for whenever I need to use the PCMCIA slot.

Specs: A600 HD with Kickstart 3.1, 2MB Chipram (through trapdoor expansion) and Nedopc 8MB 2007 model expansion which does not have jumper config.

you need add a switch on jumper if remember right

sorry model 2007 need mod

It depends on the revision, the latest I believe has jumpers for 4mb/5.5mb and 8mb like Kipper expansion. (5.5mb is still PCMCIA friendly)

If it's the older one (2007 IIRC) you are stuck at 8mb unless you remove it totally.

Yes its the 2007 model. No Jumpers.

I heard that the CPLD can be reprogrammed to 4MB. I have no idea how to do that nor do i have a programmer or the firmware.

Is it possible that it can be reprogrammed to only address 4MB and if so who would be able to do this for me ? I don't need 8MB.
