Run launcher from command line

Is there a way to run the launcher from the command line and have it automatically start a configuration?

FS-UAE development version has following options:

Can start with game uuid as final argument (auto-runs preferred variant).
Can start with variant uuid as final argument (autu-runs specified variant).

You can check variant uuid's from http://oagd.net

EDIT. Does anyone know if there is help somewhere about command-line options?

Not sure if I'm missing something but the above link I think is only for fs-uae command line options, not for the launcher program.

I have the windows stable version with the launcher at ".\FS-UAE Launcher.exe" and a game config at ".\Configurations\Defender of the Crown.fs-uae". Both of these commands (below) start the launcher, but don't start the game, is there a way to start the game from the command line? I notice the launcher creates a temp config file at runtime and starts FS-UAE with the temp config ... I could capture that config and save it elsewhere, but it seems to defeat the purpose of using the launcher to manage the configurations in the first place. I think the launcher is great for ease of setup, but ultimately I want to use a different program (LaunchBox) as my UI for starting the games.

Neither of these windows commands work as (I) intended:
Code:

"FS-UAE Launcher.exe" "Defender of the Crown.fs-uae"
Code:

"FS-UAE Launcher.exe" "Configurations\Defender of the Crown.fs-uae"

I am pretty sure you need to use UUID's when launching programs via fs-uae-launcher.

This effectively means that you can only launch games which are on OAGD database. At least I see no way to generate/see UUID for own-created configurations.

The feature was implemented in version 2.5.21dev and isn't supported in the stable version.

Instead of launching the launcher from a launcher :D you could start your game with fs-uae.exe directly. Something like:
"C:\path\to\fs-uae.exe C:\path\to\yourconfig.fs-uae"

as jbl007 said, use the latest development version, and then you can launch configuration directly via fs-uae-launcher (useful when using features only found in fs-uae-launcher) :)

Hello Frode,
can I launch zipped whdload games using fs-uae-launcher via command-line, and still use other command line options to change the configuration such as
--amiga_model=1200/020 to force AGA?

FrodeSolheim 26 February 2016 00:21

@rsn8887 with the latest 2.7.8dev version, this should now be possible (see the list of changes for details).
