3D printed rear pane for Checkmate A1500+
I treated myself to a 3D printer for Christmas and have been chipping away at how to print items successfully and how to model them in Fusion 360. I thought I would share todays success... (3hr print):

I also printed off a stand for my Gotek so I could house it internally alongside my DF0. It is a tight squeeze with the ACA500+ but I can just about do it. Needed a little work to fit and to open up the screw holes for my rear panel, the print went a little wonky one end but it is all internal so you cannot see it. Did not take into account the need to hollow out the card reader hole and I need to hot glue the reader in place. Not bad for a first try. I pinched models from elsewhere and mixed them with my own. Fusion 360 is weird. |
Not bad at all.
I've been 3D printing for a couple of years, it's never easy, but it's hardest in winter when cold drafts are common. Hope you'll share your designs. |
Thank you. I am setup in the office with the computers at the moment so nice and warm but it will need to get relegated to the garage soon.

We just need someone to make Amiga coloured filament. People get upset when I grind down cases to feed into my Filastruder.
