Since the A2631 prototype is here now, thought I'd upload a piccie of it for all to see :p

I'll do some hi-res pics for the BBoAH tomorrow at work :)

Zetr0 06 November 2007 20:13

@Binox

looks pretty special there my friend :)

Paul_s 06 November 2007 22:13

Buy 40 flake 99's and use the 2631 as a wafer  :D

BinoX 07 November 2007 00:40

LOL!

Currently building a display case for it (yeah, how sad am I, lol)

But as a "collector" this is probably my first serious, "Have it for the sake of it", item.

something like transparent coffin? :spin

BinoX 07 November 2007 12:47

Could be! lol

Chain 07 November 2007 12:48

so place some LEDs on edges and battery from backside .)

alexh 07 November 2007 14:50

What did you pay for that POS? :)

A nostalgic collector and his money are soon parted.

If you ever consider trying to make it work, I've got some of the missing chips and I could program the missing PAL's.

Oooh... That's a good offer!
How much you want for the chips and programmed PAL's?

If I had everything needed I may be tempted to plug it in and see what happens...

Just gotta work out which of the large sockets are from Buster, DMAC and Ramsey!

Will also have to source some RAM :)

Oh.. and what did I pay? heh.. £165 including postage!

alexh 07 November 2007 16:50

Make some nice high-res photo's for BBoAH and I'll see what I can do ;)

BinoX 07 November 2007 17:54

lol I'm working on it :)

Gunna stick it in a big A3 scanner I think... Do a front and back scan :) (That way ppl can see the scsi connector too :))

Paul_s 07 November 2007 23:00

So what other rare miggy pieces are worth collecting? I'd love the 'framed disk drive in the wall' from the deathbed vigil video :D

mmm getting all tearful here :sad:crying

alexh 08 November 2007 00:12

Of stuff worth having, I'd say an ACCESS.

Other stuff worth having:

CDTV-CR
Walker
A3000+

Jope 08 November 2007 08:32

I'd say the Access and the A3000+ are the most useful Amiga artifacts. :-)

The Walker would be cool to check out, but it's just a hunk of brittle plastic that doesn't really work.

alexh 08 November 2007 10:03

If it arrived at my house, it would work ;)

Jope 08 November 2007 14:44

Sure. :-)

I'd give it a shot too if I had one, instead of just putting it on the shelf. :-)

Paul_s 08 November 2007 19:43

I was just thinking, could we all look after the A2631 in turns at the weekend and pay ? :lol:lol:lol :bowdown:bowdown:bowdown

alexh 08 November 2007 23:15

Can I pay not to have it? :)
