My next Amiga is a keyboard

Seems like a neat and zippy machine as an Amiga setup. Takes no more space than a slim keyboard and easily fits in a drawer when not used.

PI 400 is great. All in one!

What a cool machine!

Why it took them so long?
Great product!

Mine is arriving tomorrow. I am giddy with excitement. Definitely gonna have a retropie ‘computers only’ card and a Amiberry/Amibian card. On that last note, never know which one to use.

This PI400 could make the Mini A500 obsolete before it gets released.

If someone could make RPI adapter for 2 joystick ports and a serial port that would be great.

Edit: Here is the Joystick port for Pi. https://www.addicore.com/Boffintroni...er-p/ad410.htm

With all the correct keys, it loos like 70€ native RiscOS computer. Wich is why IN planning to buy one.

Hi ! Please let us know how you get optimal results in terms of Amiga emulation ! I tried many years ago...
My criterias are :
- 50 Hz support
- no visible input lag
- no scrollings artifacts, possibility not to fill the whole screen in order to maintain an integer scaling factor (which also makes the picture less blocky)
- good quality scanlines and / or pixel shaders mimicking a CRT

Then i can dump my FPGA :-)
cheers !

better option if you already have a pi...Looks the part too.

What is cool in the Pi 400 is that it actually has less heating issues than the regular Pi, despite its being overclocked at 1.8 GHz, due to the massive heatsink in the keyboard.
It's actually pretty cheap compared to a regular Pi, which requires a case and a cooling solution to be added to its price.

Not for me though, as I prefer using my mechanical keyboard with microswitches !

Mine's here :) . Although I must admit the first thing I'm going to spend more time on whenever I get any is the MisterFPGA, as the A314 link to the linux side is hugely interesting...

Gee, a computer that's build into a keyboard, what a novel idea! :D

invent 03 November 2020 22:49

Yep, whoever owns Amiga was/is far too slow, it's what I would of imagined an Amiga Mini but with extra keypad oh and more wedge like.

Lol eXeler0 :)

Time to start claiming Pi 500, Pi 1200, etc ;)

What is cool is that it's cheap / standardized / low consumption / much supported hardware -- also made in the EU which is rare.

The 400 version is actually not more expensive. It's actually on par or cheaper with a Pi 4 + a good case + cooling solution.

Of course, if they constantly release new versions and if it's always a little too slow for the most common use cases, it'll turn out to be disposable hardware which is not good.

I like this idea, but a model with pink color will not make it to my desk. I know I'm silly. :)

This is great! I'm tempted by these now provided I can force 240p via HDMI or another output eg composite...
