how do you play LZX files?
 

Downloaded some games, but they arent ADF files, I cant figure out how to make a hard drive with the workbench (maybe im dumb as) but how do i get games to work, I got Workbench 1.3 and winuae with a kickstart.

You can't. LZX are compressed files, you need to use the Amiga archiver LZX to extract the contents to a hard drive or hard drive file (within emulation) http://xavprods.free.fr/lzx/

As per other thread, first of all you need to create the HD file, install workbench and install WHDload. Once that has been done you need to install LZX and then you should be able to start extracting the games to your HD file.

As for this question in your other thread relating to whether or not Workbench 3.1 will work with either Kickstart 1.2 or Kickstart 1.3 I'm not too sure :sad

those are not the games (http://www.whdload.de/games/all.html) but hd installs. You will need original game to install it on HD.

Search for KillerGorilla game packs. ;)

He needs to work out how to create a HD file, install workbench and install WHDload... but he's not sure if you can do this with Workbench 1.3 / Kickstart 1.3 (and neither am I as I only use .adf / .ipf files) :confused

I've missed that topic. He is on the right track then. Just need now to search for ClassicWB P96 or AIAB. :)

Grab the games you want to play from here as ADF diskimages. Use the quickstart feature in WinUAE and play the game. This is much easier for you. ;)
