Starts: 00:01 December 6
Finishes: 23:59 December 19

Here we go again. Can anybody steal rexsu's crown this year, or will he retain it to complete a season double? Remember you have to enter this round to have any chance of playing later on - you have to be in it to win it, as they say.

Rules

Rules are available here. Super League rules are here; usual rules still apply.

We are playing the Ace of Space table only in this round.

Post a picture of your score here with the score written underneath. Enter as often as you like.

No cheating (including save states) - anyone caught cheating gets disqualified.

Here's how the qualifying system works:

Between 9-13 people enter: 8 people qualify.
Between 14-17 people enter: 12 people qualify.
18+ people enter: 16 people qualify.

Have fun and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

mihcael 06 December 2009 15:22

Should be cool!

Wouldn't of thought pspuae could manage this game??

john4p 06 December 2009 15:37

It will definitely not run fullspeed.

EmuChicken 06 December 2009 15:38

Im not sure myself,

For starters.

linesmachine 06 December 2009 17:43

I don't see any reason for PSPuae to be slow for SlamTilt, it's not an overlycomplex thang.

Roadrash rocks!

Graham Humphrey 06 December 2009 23:23

Got this score this afternoon - it's not very good but at least I was sober then and would probably do very badly now :laughing

But the Amiga's hardware is "overlycomplex" compared to the MegaDrive. Thus PicoDrive runs even the SegaCD-games ~fullspeed on PSP while PSPUAE can't do the same with most OCS-titles. Slam Tilt being an AGA-game doesn't help much, either. ;)

PSPUAE is a great application. Lots of useful features, very high compatibility, but unfortunately few Amiga games are really enjoyable on it.
Recompiled on a powerful ARM-device like the Pandora or the Nokia N900 it will possibly finally be the best portable Amiga-emulator (since both devices are way more powerful than the PSP and on ARM-devices the 68000 assembler-core Cyclone can be utilized which means fullspeed emulation of OCS-games is granted).

Previous score was just a warm-up ;)

Graham Humphrey 11 December 2009 16:44

Bump...

Anybody here? EAB has been really rather quiet for compo-related stuff in recent months. Apologies, however, go to anyone who thought the round started on the 76th December as stated in the original post ;)

TCD 11 December 2009 17:05

Since you asked so nicely Graham ;)
