Amiga Gamer or Retro Gamer

Are you an Amiga Gamer or Retro Gamer?

I notice there alot of people here who have intrests in ATARIs, Sega etc, but theres only place for AMIGA in my heart. WHich one are you?

I generally play older games from the systems I used to own, like the Master System, Megadrive, SNES, Amiga but I do also dabble with TG16, CPS1/2/3, Neo Geo stuff every now and then for a bit of arcade style action.

I rarely, if ever, play any other computer (non-console) games other than the Amiga. Just don't find the urge.

I have to say, if I could only play one system ever again (for retro style gaming) I would pick the Megadrive, not the Amiga.

Sorry everyone! :evilgrin

Amiga gamer all the way - as it was my first computer, but... I try to be open minded, so - Retro Gamer I guess. :)

Retro1234 28 April 2009 15:10

I started playing SNES and MD stuff but moved back to Amiga found alot of Gems and now 90% of time play Amiga. Sometimes COD on PC, King Of Fighters Neo-Geo and the odd other console. So I guess Amiga but Im Retro:crazy

:Arh but I also like anything Amiga related -So I realy dont know what to choose

I am a 100% retro gamer.... I really can't pick a favourite system but the Amiga is definetely one of them - amongst a few others :D

Brakus 28 April 2009 15:59

Like most of you, a retro gamer ...

Mame, Neo Geo, Megadrive, N64 etc. But always an Amigan at heart...

To parody the poster for Robocop, I'll say:
Part Amiga,
Part Retro,
All Gamer.

The Amiga set many standards in terms of gameplay, graphics (2D and some early 3D) and overall 'multimedia' experience for me.

So, although I can easily enjoy other platforms of retro-gaming, I have far less tolerance when trying a game when it does not reach a level that can compete with Amiga games.

I'm a retro gamer. There are too many gems for all the old gaming platforms, but for me all started with the C64 and Amiga.

Retro here - SNES, Amiga, Atari ST, BBC B, Archimedes.
