Yolanda, is this a RAGE quiter or what!!!
A brand new episode of Shit Game Time game review and it has to be one of the most rage quit games I've EVER had the misfortune to play, I give you Yolanda on the Amiga, good god! ???http://eab.abime.net/images/smilies/banghead.gifhttp://eab.abime.net/images/smilies/banghead.gifhttp://eab.abime.net/images/smilies/banghead.gif
This is a paid request by Youtuber "Ray C", I hope you enjoy it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShEYvU3Ru7I |
Lol, cant remember if i had a demo or a pirate copy, i think it was a demo which i played once, thought WztF is this and never played it again. It had 0 redeeming qualities whatsoever.
Enjoyed the video :) |
Wow, that's truly horrible. Thanks for suffering through it :)
|
it reminds me of the crazy hard Super Mario Maker levels.

Yeah, this was a demo disk on AF or something. It was insanely difficult, like death in 2 seconds. Not sure what the developer was thinking other than his conviction to make the most difficult video game ever made.
Weirdly I wanted to buy it though ... |
the amazing thing is that someone understood what to do and had the patience to learn how to pass the levels. probably a masochist;) see: here
|
What made me cringe the most about that game was that dreadful opening "Danger!" music at the start of each level, and it happened and repeated so often, over and over and over AND OVER AND OVER again, that I went INSANE!
|
Damn, Yolanda is literally a torture device.
You can argue that actually does not make it a shit game since it was designed for this very purpose. It's quite successful. |
I remember having this game on a demo disk, so, it's not like you didn't know what you were getting into. Also, at local computer store you could always ask to play test games before buying them.

@zeusdaz : Watching you was really funny. Thanks ;) .
(Think this game deserves a round in the EAB/Lemon competition :)) |
CFOU's video link to the longplay shows that Yolanda is simply one of those games that takes lots of repetition and lots of trial and error, and either a good memory or a sketchpad, to master it. So platforms appear out of thin air depending on where you jump, so that's trial and error right there, but you'd have to have the patience of a saint to persevere.
If I was to embark on such a thing, first thing I'd do is to turn down the volume. It seems there are no sound cues in the game, so that detestable opening music can go for a start. |
EAB has the Yolanda Haters Guild.

Well as long as my pain brings joy to others I guess :banghead :crying ;) |
^ you brought me positive laughing. so was not laughing at you, but at the situation :
10 move, die... 20 move, die... 30 no move, die... 40 same player, start again 50 goto 10 :lol |
worse than Manic Miner! cool video. shit game all right.
|
It reminds me of ...Hercules(?) on the C= 64. Platforms and stuff didn't appear before you stepped on to it - leaps of faith all around.
