No, I don't have always time to follow the other subjects that can guide us on corrections. Also, I begin to correct the dats to be compliant with the new TNC and for that reason alone, there has work ^^

Hi, I dumped my original Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis - The Action Game disk and compared to the one available in TOSEC. I expected it to match, but the checksums differed:

Code:

d41d81969e1b3f6235bbf7a9f6d95a71ea55c63e  Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis - The Action Game v1.00 (1992)(U.S. Gold)[cp code wheel].adf
846346e4a5e2eea4d857b1efb2242bd3b9d923ed  Indy IV.adf

So I ran my ADF compare program which showed that the boot block is slightly different (everything else is identical between the disks):

Code:

So, the disk in TOSEC contains some "random stuff" in sector 1, which does not seem to have any purpose for booting. It isn't quite random though, as you can see in the attached screenshot (the text "i.jones" occurs three times for example). My disk on the other hand contains only null bytes in the same area.

I am 100% sure that my disk has never had the write protection disabled. I have uploaded the disk image to the zone.

So, something funny with the disk in TOSEC? Or is this just disks from two separate production runs with slightly different master disks?

this is the highscore table mate :) Your original is not modified as it seems !

Of course! It's so obvious when you said it, I just didn't think of it :D (to be honest, I cannot remember that the game had a highscore table, but still...)

So I guess the disk in TOSEC should have a [m highscore] modifier or something like that (and my dump replacing the "original" one).
...fixed, Crashdisk

Sorry but I do not add the original as a ADF file. I would prefer the IPF 0865 :agree
You can find us this for us, dlfrsilver? ;)

dlfrsilver 27 May 2015 19:48

this IPF is already in the wild :)

i was playing with AMOS and found an issue installing the compiler:
AMOS Professional Compiler v2.00 (1993)(Europress).adf

this one ask for an "Extra" disk which i found in the AMOSPro_collection.zip on classicamiga.com (almost at the end of website is the download)

AMOSPro collection/APCompiler/APCompiler Extras.ADF

i'm not sure about the original package of this compiler, but i think the Extras should be added as disk 2 of 2 to the compiler.

[zoned] AMOSPro_collection.zip

Crashdisk 03 June 2015 22:29

You can use "AMOS Professional v2.00 Updater (1993)(Europress)(Disk x of 3)" set because this is the real ... "AMOS Professional Compiler v2.00" :nuts

Will be fixed!

Hi pepinos,
the latest update is minor for Amiga, moreover, it concerns only the SPS files whose distribution is illegal here.
Thank you to note that this thread is for the correction and improvement of databases, not for file requests

Last dats files and Changelog

emufan 23 June 2015 18:35

just take a look at the Shaq-Fu ECS thread. one file on all disks #5 for that game got one bad file, which makes it non-working, playing the character KAORI.
maybe you can do the same and replace the file in question as described above.

Theres a new WIP ADF Games as well as PD Games in the making as I seen it on the TOSEC Forums.

It would be interesting to see it pop up on the file server before it comes out as a final. You guys used to do it under Mai and Crashdisk NotInTOSEC but those folders don't exist anymore. lol.

Would be cool if those folders returned for the current edition of the WIP though especially if it has the missing games from Gamebase 1.6 and completely new games as well in the update.
