Good luck with that... AotL has been out of them for at least the last month...

I've come across the validating message also a few times now while testing RDB stuff. It would be a lot better, I think, if there was a "pause" put in, and some kind of comment, "Validating...will resume when done." because I don't have any drive light active as it used to be if this is happening. Mostly I add "IGNOREVALIDATE" and so far I haven't noticed any problems with that. If you're using a CompactFlash then stay with 0x1FE00 or so..otherwise. 0xFFFFFF gets the invalidated prompt.

Just an update - I came across this very issue with an A3000/AmigaOS3.2/SCSI2SD 5.2. Seems like it was rebooting so quickly it couldn't validate whatever needed validating. I added the IGNOREVERIFY (not IGNOREVALIDATE) and it solved the issue for me.

IGNOREVERIFY is what I meant. Oops! Glad you caught it.
