Delivered in a nice box. I hope both the ACA1230 56 MHz and ACA630 30 MHz are both delivered soon to AmigaKit so they can send it to me. :-)

We spent the day testing/packing/shipping cards, so they should start arriving tomorrow.

I do own a 1541U, however i'm interested on the VGA and Turbo features of this Chameleon device... If it has a good 1541 compatibility maybe it would be time for a change!!

Talking back about the ACA i have to say box and board look really neat on these pictures, it's a great job. I can't wait to have mine!!!

a, das ist kein Problem - das ist nur ne Massefläche. Wir haben die Karten an der Stelle bearbeitet, damit sie leichter einzubauen sind. Dadurch ist die weiße Farbe hin und wieder durch Zinn ersetzt worden. Kein Grund zur Sorge.

Its just a "massefläche", I guess in swedish that is "massor" and fläche is spot "fläck", its just a workspot.

That bit of the card you refer to does indeed look a bit rough...!

It is not broken - all ACA1230 are like this. We have cut that part of the PCB away on all boards to make installation easier. This has been done prior to wave-soldering. Some boards have the white paint replaced with solder in that area, but since it's just a GND plane and no signals, it does not matter.

"not a problem" is correct, but let me help a little on the other terms:

"Massefläche" is a ground plane, a typical German noun composed of two nouns "Masse" (=the signal ground) and "Fläche" (area or plane). These areas are also called "copper pours" in the CAD world.
