Just tested this new version and the recurring zero problem has been solved, thanks.

@wiz12
That's great. Thank you for the fast test and feedback on it.

Is this "Open Game Dir" feature only supposed to work on AmigaOS > 3.1?
It doesn't show up on my setup.

If you may like I have created a DualPNG Icon for iGames in various sizes

walkero 08 October 2020 20:24

@jeff b00toNic
Yeap. It works from v44 of Workbench and above, which reminds me I should add it on the guide file. Thanks for the reminding.

@AMIGASYSTEM
That's great. Can you upload them somewhere were I can get them and add them at the package?

@AMIGASYSTEM

Thanks man... That's really nice.

@all
Today we released the v2.0 stable at https://github.com/MrZammler/iGame/releases/tag/v2.0 and soon will be available on Aminet as well.

We would like to thank you all for your help and bug reports.

Of' course, our work doesn't stop here. We have v2.1 milestone with a few features to cover, as described at https://github.com/MrZammler/iGame/milestone/2

@AMIGASYSTEM
Your new icons will be included on the next beta versions that will be released for v2.1. Thank you for your contribution.

kriz 17 October 2020 04:27

Yeahh nice, thanks for the work on iGame!!

speshady 17 October 2020 11:57

Many thanks for the v2 stable, excellent work!.

crazyc 19 October 2020 12:07

Pulled the official V2 from aminet but am having a similar issue to one I had with the last beta - It wont seem to extract properly and gives me issues with 3 files (2 of which dont matter to me) the big issue is where it just says 'failed to open file iGame-v2.0/'
Have tried using my default 3.9 unpacker and Voodoo-X. Same issues.
Any thoughts? Is this something on my system? I dont usually have any issues like this.

wiz12 19 October 2020 12:09

Did you try download it from the Github page instead? I had no problems extracting it using WinRar on pc.

crazyc 19 October 2020 12:11

Later I will try extracting the files on the PC and then moving them over after that. I usually try and avoid extracting amiga stuff on PC though and do it on the amiga itself.

wiz12 19 October 2020 12:15

Yeah, it's generally a better idea to extract archives on the Amiga, leads to less errors but in this case I've never encountered any problems.

crazyc 19 October 2020 12:59

Hmm. Downloaded it and extracted it on my PC and then copied the files over but the installer still gives me a red guru on the amiga.
Manually copied the files and ignored the installer and all seems well. Its a bit odd as I am sure the installer worked OK on my towered amiga also running 3.9. Maybe I have something tweaked differently on one of the setups.
Oh well, now have V2 running anyway.

wiz12 19 October 2020 13:07

I didn't use the installer, just copied the files manually over. Perhaps there's a bug in the installer.

speshady 21 October 2020 18:28

extract on pc and just copied files over too, all good.

walkero 22 October 2020 21:52

Sorry guys for the late answer.
The problems that crazyc mentioned when he extracted the files is a known problem on the xad lha extractor. It seems that this doesn't work well with the version of lha used to archive it. Although it complains, it creates the folders fine.

The same thing happens with MUI archives. I will try to find a solution on that, but it works.

Mixel 27 October 2020 18:02

I've tried the betas and the latest stable release.. On other peoples' screenshots the Genres list is as wide as the screenshots.. On my (Hires, no interlace, PAL) version the genres list is weirdly narrow? Is it a MUI setting I've messed up?

Not a dealbreaker, lol, just wondering why. I'm running OS3.1.4 on an A1200..

Otherwise, it's working great! :D TY!
