Hi guys,

I am wondering if it's actually possible to do this without any programming skills but I am a big eob fan and I want to translate the game in my language. I managed to open the file containing the spells, intros and in game messages using amiga ed and edited both games successfully BUT the files containing the dialogue (eg Dran and Xanathar's monologues and NPC interactions) seem to be encrypted and uneditable.

Is there a solution to this for people with very limited computer knowledge?

Thanks!

the resourced files for text translation are fully in clear.

Hiya.

I grabbed EOB2_AGA out of the zone the other day and have decided to go through EOB 1 first, and was trying to find the EOB_AGA 1 version again.. had a pretty good look not on amiftp and the wikipage is gone.. Any suggestions.. tried links suggested above already.

Cheers

Are both the games buggy or were the issues fixed. Also do whdload versions exist for the AGA releases?

kriz 08 June 2021 22:08

They are whdload versions :) And they work very well ...

From the wiki:EOB1 (1.09)
PS: known bug: outro crash if you use automap before kill Xanathar so you must:
1) save game before kill Xanathar
2) exit game
3) reload game and kill Xanathar without enter in automap screen using 'tab' key
Sorry for that i will try to fix it on futur update...

EOB2: No such problems reported .. (1.05)

Thanks for that, but it wouldn't work for me. Guess it needs some kind of username/password.
