I don't think we could live without it.

Getting a "could not connect to his database" error at the moment.

chip 26 July 2020 02:56

HOL down?

Hi all, I just tried hol and amr and both seem down at the moment. Just wondered if it was a known thing. Thanks :)

Radertified 23 August 2020 03:34

Yeah, it's been down for a few hours. Always whenever I need it :P

JohnnyWalker 23 August 2020 03:57

Same! Lol ;)

ransom1122 23 August 2020 04:15

still down...

wanderer 23 August 2020 14:31

Not here :(

BarryB 23 August 2020 18:19

Been down since this morning!

DamienD 23 August 2020 18:21

Bigtime... the banner at the top right of EAB is fubar'd; first time I've seen that.

honx 23 August 2020 21:37

i this the reason why eab forum doesn't stop loading?
status says: "waiting hol.abime.net" or something...

lilalurl 23 August 2020 22:19

Threads merged.
And, yes honx it usually happens when HOL is down. Everything is loaded fine, except the HOL stuff. So it appears as constantly loading, although you can read posts fine.

BarryB 24 August 2020 17:26

HOL still not working, someone kick the server please!

DamienD 24 August 2020 17:41

Has anyone PM'd or e-mailed RCK?

He's the only one that can fix all hosted sites that are currently down.

...don't worry, I'll do it.

Edit: done, now we wait for bossman to read / fix.

BarryB 24 August 2020 18:49

I would have thought some form of heart beat / server monitoring would be in place to alert RCK to a problem.

That would be the ideal thing, but not sure if this has been implemented.

I guess if it was then HOL / other hosted sites wouldn't been down for days...

BarryB 24 August 2020 20:54

Something like this would do!

DamienD 25 August 2020 15:14

As you've probably noticed, HOL and other hosted sites are back again.

RCK replied to my e-mail last night. He was aware of the problem but was waiting for the local guys to reboot the old server.
