Wow, that some sweet blast from the past ^^ I hope that this time it will be released :)

Retro-Nerd 17 August 2018 00:32

There is a 99% completed Mega Drive rom. That's what i want. Damn, they should sell it via Digital Download option. :rolleyes

ScHlAuChi 17 August 2018 03:11

1. This version is a fixed version of that ROM - its running via emulation!
2. It will be sold digitally and physically on PS4 and Vita - more platforms TBA!

nobody 17 August 2018 10:26

Maybe some clever hackers find a way to take out that ROM later ;)

demoniac 17 August 2018 11:25

I'm glad there is progress on this being released. I was in contact with the artist and see him every year or so.

Gzegzolka 17 August 2018 13:36

I hope they will get lot of sales and make release for xbox, switch, steam and finally for GoG so I could buy it :)

nobody 17 August 2018 13:40

If Sony has the rights they will not release it outside of PS ecosystem. Edit: I saw its coming on the switch too. If it has a steam version too I will buy it there.

EDIT: I just saw I was late and didn't read through this thread.

The official screenshots (attached) look really cool.

That trailer also looks amazing, I cannot wait!

The pixel detail is breath-taking. I am sure it was made with Deluxe Paint and shade tool like grafx2 (which is a clone of deluxe paint). I wonder if the A500 could do these graphics. Probably toned down, maybe half colors per layer and hardware sprites for player etc.

redblade 18 August 2018 02:56

Damn. Thought that was a AGA game

OldB0y 18 August 2018 21:30

Hardcore

Unreleased Amiga/Mega Drive game - Hardcore is coming to PS4/Vita

www.project-hardcore.net

Wonder if they’d consider releasing the Amy version as well as it was supposedly pretty much ready for release.

DamienD 18 August 2018 21:33

Above thread / post merged with this old, existing one ;)

Amiga version was abandoned early and moved to MD, axl has stated that before.

It wasn’t moved to Megadrive, the Megadrive one was the lead platform and was always ahead in development.

nobody 19 August 2018 12:22

"HardCore was moved from Amiga to MegaDrive and then canned with only two known bugs left to fix. Psygnosis shut down their 16 bit development overnight, that absolutely sucked. "

from Lemon Amiga interview.

Fair enough, it just contradicts what The One published in 1994 saying it was the first DI game when they didnt use the Amiga as the lead platform and they would have no reason to state that unless they were told otherwise. Another one of those two different tales like Factor 5 i guess.

Hardcore getting released

Surprised I found nothing on these boards about this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RDRQcBmEzE

Seems like Hardcore was 99% finished and it will get a PS Vita/PS4 release.

Shame it's locked behind EA gates, otherwise I'd say, "anyone wants to see if they want to release the actual Amiga files?". It's never gonna happen.

DamienD 19 August 2018 16:37

Hi Puggsy,

Welcome to EAB :great

Thanks for posting this but there is already a related thread on EAB; so your thread / post above has been merged with this old, existing one ;)

Puggsy 19 August 2018 16:58

Oh, sorry!

DamienD 19 August 2018 17:07
