Or from the Mega Drive version... :p

CodyJarrett 17 February 2008 13:13

I can't remember which game or demo it was from exactly but it's a preview screen before something. It might have been a coverdisk demo.

fc.studio 17 February 2008 21:30

I'm not sure, but perhaps Amiga Format gave for free the game Amiganoid and this had, during loading, preview screens about Benefector and Hardcore.

Graham Humphrey 17 February 2008 21:32

Yes, I think you're right, I do remember that. It was on AF disk 52b or 53b I think...

fryguy 07 February 2010 13:36

Hardcore (the Megadrive version) was shown on Datastorm this weekend, by the DICE guys.

Too bad i wasn't there though :/

The clip looks awesome. I hope the guys get the permission to release the Mega Drive rom, they still working on it. :great

MÅ“bius 29 March 2010 21:25

Yay! Saw this today too - I really hope it makes it out.

albino 29 March 2010 23:19

this game looks great, it should have been an amiga game.

ErikBauer 30 March 2010 10:32

Looks great indeed!
Too bad Psygnosys shoot it down... and too bad they did not decide to develop it for AGA machines as it could have looked even better than the Megadrive version (I'm speaking about the sky parallax scrolling on the outdoors for example).

blade002 30 March 2010 11:30

Damn that game DOES look brilliant! I want it!!!!

StarEye 30 March 2010 15:47

Looks pretty much like a Turrican clone. Not that that's a bad thing.

The first thing that came to my mind when I see it.

Bronko 30 March 2010 20:47

Awesome! I would count it as a Turrican game. :D

plasmatron 01 April 2010 12:10

Great stuff. Shame this was not developed for the AMIGA :crying
And another example thad I don`t like the megadrive soundchip. Always thoose screaming, metallic and noisy sounds, make my ears bleed every single time.
The tunes are very good. But sound shitty on the genesis :mad

Bronko 01 April 2010 13:28

They say, it was developed for the Amiga first...

It was developed for the Amiga first (and i remember seeing the WIP article of in The ONE) but it ended up being ported to the Megadrive instead although as you can see in the video, it was never released :(

So if the original developers CAN find a way of getting it released then there is a good chance we will see the Amiga version too :)

Fingers Crossed :cool

And in reference to what everyone is saying about it being very much like Turrican, i must agree with you on that one, especially the part in the video where boulders/rocks are falling from the sky and hitting our fighting hero ;) but are its Turrican like attributes a bad thing? methinks NO !!! :D:great

The game looks freaking Awesome! and i would happily pay money for the privilege of playing it on my real Amiga! :)

vitux 02 March 2013 01:55

Is known something new?
Now Psygnosis does not exist, but the rights to the game are Sony, I guess.

I think someone on this board will feel a tickling in his left testicle....

Retro-Nerd 16 August 2018 20:14

PS4 and PS Vita? Bah!! (but it looks really good!)

nobody 16 August 2018 22:40

PS4 and Vita, better than nothing I guess. This game's true place is on the Amiga though.
