English Amiga Board - What type of RAM do I need for this board?

i was under the belief that if i was using kickstart 3.0 pcmcia would still work.

Afaik, PCMCIA is still dead under 3.1 ROM when using an 8Mb expansion card.
Unless anyone knows a fix for your card, (I think it's a Generic dis-order with 8Mb Expansions) it's 4Mb MAX with PCMCIA or 8Mb & no PCMCIA.

Alternatively, get a card that allows more than 8Mb Ram.

You could try to get three Single Pole Double Throw switches & solder them to the Jumper pins. (middle Horizontal row on the card is common)
Then you could select the amount of ram you require if needing the PCMCI functionality. - Might sound a tad archaic but saves the hassle of flipping the box all the time.

*Edit* Only select Switches for RAM amount with Power off.
