Sadly, we have not yet covered in HOL every game released on Amiga.

If Nuxelia was indeed never finished and therefore no contributor had ever played it, it made it even less likely to be added to HOL.

Have you tried to track the author (uploader on Aminet and he gives an email address in readme.txt)?

Well, I said what of HOL because i seen entries for other games unrealized.

I will try to contact the author but will be complicated. See if we're lucky and see this thread.

This is as far right as I can go, perhaps it's where the preview ends ? (I hope not :()

Not if there are more screens but in screenshot.lha a screen inside a castle:nervous

This game looks great! A shame it never got released, I wonder how complete it is. I aree it's worth trying to contact the author to get some extra info on it? Who knows maybe there's a more complete version somewhere on his stash.

wXR 10 November 2012 23:43

Wow that looks great!

I'm afraid it is the end. :(

When you look at the sign next to the stone wall this happens.

Same problem here with the title screen,on real A1200 with 030 processor.:(

Retroplay 11 November 2012 11:07

That's weird. :confused

On both my real A1200 + ACA1232 and WinUAE it starts right away when I press fire at the title screen.
Both run an identical ClassicWB Full 3.1 setup.

vitux 11 November 2012 13:48

I used the email that appears in the readme but fails, does not exist.
I will continue trying to track otherwise.
The author is Erik Gustavsson? no?
Swedish?

That's not good, it's a pretty common name in Sweden. Hmm but his mail adress is @craze.nu.. I believe craze was a demogroup so perhaps it's easier then. Perhaps there is some info on pouet.net?

EDIT:

According to this http://hem.passagen.se/olle2/friends.htm a member (olle) of SAFIR http://safir.amigaos.se used to know him at least.

Also seems like Alkaron was in the same group as Zik, he is also a member of SAFIR.

lilalurl 11 November 2012 14:36

There is also a Nuxelia crew mentioned which probably means that while Erik Gustavsson is probably the main person behind the game, there were probably other sceners involved.

So it is probably a very good idea to contact that olle guy and ask him not only if he knows how to contact Erik Gustavsson but also anyone that would have been involved in the Nuxelia crew (other Craze members?).

This game edited files on my WorkBench disk image somehow, I can not load WorkBench if I don't delete edited floppy disk.

I don't have issue starting my HD-installed Workbench.

Your issue with no being able to go further than the title screen happened when the disk was not write-protected? Or was it write-protected?

In the first case, what happens if you keep the WB disk always write-protected?

s2325 11 November 2012 16:36

My WorkBench image is always write-enable as some games required that for some reason. I will check with write-protect setting.

trydowave 11 November 2012 22:24

how do i install this to my A1200 (emulated in winuae) I've put the folder unzipped and zipped into my games folder but i cant navigate to it (when im in the amiga).

s2325 11 November 2012 22:27

Check the WorkBench option "Show all files".

trydowave 11 November 2012 22:32

Cheers... fot the game running. But its stuck at loading screen... i think i read about this somewhere earlier

Retro-Nerd 11 November 2012 22:42

I'm surprised that so many people have problems with it. Just tried it on my real Amiga 1200/ACA 1230/Competition Pro/ClassicWB Lite. It works as you would expect. Does it really need a special lib? :confused

You can also simply drag and drop the .lha archive into the Winuae window when you are at the Workbench screen. The .lha archive will then be listed as a disk.

The special lib was just a guess from me.
I have never used it, but perhaps SnoopDOS could be useful here, if you know how to use it? From what I understand it checks files that are accessed.

On my side, I have a pretty basic Workbench 3.0. I know I have added some libs when some games required them but there aren't many more I think.
Here is the list anyway:
Code:

req.library
ilbm.library
amigaguide.library
asl.library
bullet.library
commodities.library
datatypes.library
diskfont.library
iffparse.library
locale.library
lowlevel.library
mathieeedoubbas.library
mathieeedoubtrans.library
mathieeesingtrans.library
mathtrans.library
nonvolatile.library
realtime.library
rexxsupport.library
rexxsyslib.library
version.library
68040.library
westwoodtool.library
medplayer.library
reqtools.library

I just tried to change some settings and apparently the game requires more than 2Mb of chip RAM because otherwise, you get an "out of memory" message.

Retro-Nerd 11 November 2012 23:33

Really? It works fine for me with 2 MB Chipram. I've booted an ClassicWB with app. 1,85 MB Chipram left.
