heh, the site is mantained by my german collegue and sometime some typo find its way in... just use the main page and browse from there:
http://www.aeonofsands.com/ Or use the FB and G+ pages that I update semiregularly: https://www.facebook.com/aeonofsands https://plus.google.com/u/0/+Aeonofsands/posts As for the images, I have to say I'm flattered, but we don't have a policy about it except for the sites or boards pointing to ours; I'll ask Florian and let you know, thanks! |
We have opened a development blog for Aeon; I have planned to publish about a few parts of the work, more in a "area of interest" than in a chronological way.
Stuff like the plot building and integration, dialogues, interface, and graphic process. The main topic on my side is the reasoning and method behind the craziness, to whom may be interested! I will not post frequently, because of time constraints though, and me and my collegue will pass the ball to each other when we will have an article ready. If you want to have a look, the first post is about NPCs building! http://blog.aeonofsands.com/ :) |
A bit OT but sometimes i wonder what kind of RPG could be obtained tweaking actual 3D engines a la gloom, AB3d and fears...

Great stuff, looks very nice .. Liked the facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/aeonofsands ...
is there plans for ports to other Os like Morphos/Os4 ? |

Plans for porting are limited at the usual platforms at the moment. Before I started to work on AoS, I tried For years to do something like that for Amiga AGA, but the amount of work required made it not viable then. I hope in the future to remedy that but not anywhere soon... |

Too bad the video was took from so far away ;) |
I know, and I've uploaded just as curiosity.
We're still a way, in any case, from a complete alpha of the game or to think to campaign AoS, I just wanted to share a little bit of the fun I had at Gameover :) |
New update is out!
Check on our blog for an animated snippet of our new open air dungeon and status info! :) |

We talked about a more straightforward version (the main one is story heavy, and I mean 80.000 words divided in 100 dialogues heavy) while I would like for an hypothetic Amiga version to be more action oriented, with custom dungeons. The two unknowns here are the success or lack thereof of the main game, that will dictate how we will spend our time after the release, and how easily our LUA code can be accommodated by the Amiga version, which “should not” be too difficult. If it will ever happen, though, we would aim it to AmigaOs 3.1, or earlier, neither of us is at the moment interested in the successive versions. |
