Will Hyperion consider a bundle that contains the disks and all ROM versions?
Would pay a bit more for such a bundle.

Starglider 2 01 October 2018 09:10

Congratulations to the team for getting this out! It's wonderful that something as retro as the Amiga 500 is still seeing updates to the OS. Thank you all.

I too would love to be able to buy the actual floppy disks and review them.

cloverskull 01 October 2018 09:11

Agreed about bundle, not sure I want to pay that much for each.

Can we list the contents and use Remus/rom split to just roll our own, instead of paying so much for each?

Edit - I mean buy for, say, a4000, and then build ones for other computers based on that?

ptyerman 01 October 2018 09:51

I'm also waiting for a physical release. This release seems more suited to emulation and those that have the means to burn their own Kickstart ROM.

Excellent stuff, thanks to all involved :)

I have a question....is the A600 3.1.4version cpu specific? As I have a 020 A600

Englyst 01 October 2018 11:03

Hyperion stated that bundles with ROM and disks will arrive a bit later.

No, just buy the A600 one.

darkwave 01 October 2018 11:30

Great work! Looking forward to picking up the OS with the new ROMs when they're available.

Minuous 01 October 2018 11:53

Since there are no A1200s with 68000 CPUs it would make sense to compile that version for 68020+. Likewise 68030+ for the A4000 version, etc.

Leffmann 01 October 2018 12:06

What's the 2M RAM requirement about? Just a recommendation rather than a requirement?

While not particularly useful, you can actually boot fully into KS+Workbench 3.1 with only 256K RAM.

You should read the FAQ first.

I have a cd32 with terrible fire?
I assume the 1200 version?

alenppc 01 October 2018 16:09

Amazing, big thanks to all who helped develop this! I purchased 3 versions. Very excited to try this out.

cip060 01 October 2018 16:16

Try the 1200 version on the 32 cd and let me know with the terrible fire if it works?

In theory, creating the ROM to be replaced on the cd 32 would work?

orphan264 01 October 2018 16:22

Fantastic! I am thrilled! Can't wait to work with this!

Well done!

alenppc 01 October 2018 16:23

The CD32 uses a 1MB rom, so I can't burn the ROM (also my burner doesn't support 1MB roms). But software wise I can try.

AMIGASYSTEM 01 October 2018 16:34

Because Updateto314 it requires AmigaOS 3.5 or AmigaOS 3.9 and it can not be installed on OS 3.0/3.1? (I think it can be done by modifying the script)

I can be wrong, but I think it's not a good thing to change the CD32 ROM, the CD32 might lose CD boot and some other functionality

cip060 01 October 2018 16:40

The loss of cdrom is not a serious problem I have hardisk and terrible fire I have not used the cd for months
