DamienD, Thank you for this fantastic collection of games on Winuae. I have not yet installed it but I know I will love it after all the incredible amount of time you have spent tweaking it to be perfect. I will give more feedback after installing it, but until I do I just wanted you to know how grateful I am for sharing this with us.

It is sad that after sharing this that not everyone respects your wishes about not reposting on other sites but I suspect most will.

some people are getting angry ? really unbelievable, maybe they would to take credit for all the effort while they are at it.
The reason I have not installed it yet is I don't want to lose all my settings for my current install, until I figure that out I will delay the install of this masterpiece. (Unfortunately I know very little about registry stuff.)
Again very Big thank you ...Dan

Hey Dan,

Totally understandable :agree

You don't really need registry knowledge though, see this:

Yes, this will most definitely affect *your* own setup; hence why I say:

Firstly, you should backup your own WinUAE setup...

Export this key from the registry: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Arabuusimiehet]

If your WinUAE setup is in "C:\WinUAE" then rename it or move elsewhere.

...but you can run multiple different WinUAE setups :great

Mine is set to be registry based. With your setup you could have it in another directory, start WinUAE and then tick "Portable mode" from under "Paths".

...but to add to the above, you can do the reverse ;)

Firstly before doing anything, start your *own* WinUAE install and then tick "Portable mode" from under "Paths". Exit, test, make sure all is good.

Now if in *your* WinUAE setup is in "C:\WinUAE" then rename it or move elsewhere.

Everything now safe :agree

Extract my stuff from the archives and double-click "setup.exe".

Hi Damien. Just wanted to publicly say thanks for this. Managed to download the last few files yesterday evening and spent the rest of the night going through the collection. If really is a fantastic piece of work. You should be proud :)

Add fat as I can tell, it looks like it would be completely possible to keep expanding this with future patches/packs. Any plans to do this in the future, or is it done done?

Yes, very easy for me to release additions / updates packs in future :agree

...might need a break for a bit though; been pretty tiresome work, especially over the past 2.5 years (hey ransom1122).

...can't really have you missing one of your favourite game; that just won't do :p

Download the attached and extract into "C:\WinUAE" ;)

If you ever decide to add Steve Davis World Snooker to the collection my Amiga world will be complete lol :D

DamienD 27 January 2018 13:36

...need to clear out my Inbox.

B14ck W01f sent me this PM, not sure why he didn't just post in the thread:

Hi Damien, thanks for this collection, the cover art and screenshots are helping me discover Amiga games I have never tried or new existed before. Thanks for sharing with the Amiga community. Cheers, Alex

DamienD 27 January 2018 15:50

Yeah, the recent addition of the "boxart" panel makes WinUAE so much better aesthetically; instead of just viewing a "list" of games...

Thank you again for your time / efforts regarding this master Wilen!!! :bowdown :bowdown :bowdown

Bullwinkle55 27 January 2018 18:21

Installed this today and no effect on my previous install. apparently I was worried for nothing. Only thing I changed was to move the install to my D: drive as I use an SD drive for C: (operating system only).

It is definitely every bit as nice as I knew it would be and I can see why it would take years to get everything perfect.

I am very thankful for all your hard work, although I am retired now I would never have found the time to do all the work you have done.

This is a treasure of entertainment ....Dan :bowdown

DamienD 27 January 2018 18:41

No problem at all. Thank you for the great feedback Dan :great

Enjoy as I do; even just scrolling through the list looking at title / sshots is fun :lol :blased :crazy

Sorry my friend, totally missed this reply in the mayhem...

Yup, way too fast as is "Body Blows Galactic [AGA]"...

Never used to be, probably a side effect of 68020 Cycle-exact improvements from v3.4.0 --> v3.5.0.

Easy fix though, extract the attached into "C:\WinUAE\Configurations" replacing both ;)

Any other games; PM me please.

Installation error

Hi,
Anyone able to help with the following installation problem?

I run the Setup.exe as instructed, but I get the following.....

1) Extracting data . . .
'WinEAU.part1.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

HELP!

I've NOT got it all on C: (I downloaded to a NAS, and am trying to instal from there)

It unpacks the files, but I have NOTHING that looks like DamienD's setup :(

Thanks

Don't know about that; if you've been an EAB member for the past decade then you would definitely know about these gems :p

It's all been brought to my attention via EAB members' threads / posts; and since it's my job as a "Global Moderator" to read the majority of threads daily; nothing escapes my attention :agree

That's probably an easy one to rectify Lurch_UK.

...from memory, you were one of the people that downloaded the original URLs, then I removed, and then I've regenerated twice.

Check this:

a) Make sure all 13 x parts are named exactly the same (aside from "part##" obviously).
b) Put all 13 x parts into the same folder / directory.

Try extracting again; if you have further issues then please PM me :agree
